* CTV News has reassigned five of its domestic and foreign bureau staff, effective Sept. 1.

Alan Fryer moves from Montreal bureau chief to head up the Washington bureau, replacing Jim O’Connell who will become London bureau chief. Rosemary Thompson moves from the Ottawa bureau to bureau chief in Montreal.

George Wolff leaves the London bureau chief post to become chief correspondent for the CTV News investigative segment ‘Inquiry’ in Toronto.

Reporter Holly Doan is headed for the Beijing bureau from an Ottawa posting, and Scott Laurie, a former cbc reporter in Montreal, becomes reporter/field producer for ctv in Montreal.
