Montreal: Cinar Films is reporting an 88% increase in net earnings to $3.4 million for the financial year ending Nov. 30, 1994. Total revenues rose 43% to just over $29.8 million for the period, up from $20.9 million in 1993, while per share earnings climbed to $0.48 from $0.34 the previous year.
Cinar chairman and ceo Micheline Charest says international production revenue rose 41% in 1994, while u.s. sources constituted 42% of all production revenues.
In addition, Michel Brunet, former senior vice-president, commercial banking with Laurentian Bank of Canada, has been named vice-president and chief financial officer, and Chevronne Miller has joined the company in the newly created post of managing director, marketing and licensing. Caroline Mustard has been hired as communications co-ordinator.
