revamps
Montreal: Following a management dispute, DHD Postimage president David H. Donald has announced that Barry Bittle, a co-owner in the four-year-old special effects design and computer animation house, has left the company.
Donald says dhd is now restructuring and refinancing. The company is hiring creative and administrative staff, and has named former broadcast administrator Dominique Brunelle as its new general manager.
‘It’s a tough business for creative people trying to find ways of working together. I wish Barry Bittle well and I look forward to a positive future for dhd,’ says Donald.
Donald says dhd will announce ‘a significant equipment upgrade’ in the near future.
He says the company’s growth depends on marketing success with film producers in the u.s. In 1994, dhd produced computer graphics for four films distributed by Paramount Pictures including Arcade, a Monitor Award winner in the special effects category.
Bruce Granofsky continues as dhd creative director.
