Vancouver: Pacific Motion Pictures has formed a multi-million dollar joint venture in the u.k. and confirmed the appointment of former Westcom Entertainment executive vice-president Tony Allard as chairman and ceo and a partner in the company.
The new union, with u.k.-based Cori Films, will see Vancouver’s largest production services company produce up to $30 million worth of projects – financed through Coutts Bank of London – over a three-year period. Cori, whose expertise is international distribution, has international rights while pmp has rights for North America. Plans are to produce $2-$3 million budget mainstream dramatic films for theatrical release and some product for the tv, pay-tv and video markets.
Also, former Westcom director of development, Tara Twigg, becomes vice-president of development at PMP.
