Juggling scripts

B.C. writer Pete White is working with Arvi Liimatainen of Edmonton’s Kicking Horse Productions on a script called Ruby Silver. White says the script, which is evolving from a feature to an mow, is semi-autobiographical and is about a mining town in B.C. during the ’50s.

White is also finishing a draft for an mow with CBC’s Debby Bernstein called Milcol, about life at military colleges, and has another in development with cbc’s Jim Burt about Canadian peace keepers in Bosnia.

Russia hosts TV market

Marketskaia, billed as the first international tv program market for Central and Eastern Europe, will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia June 7-10.
