Just For Laughs Gags clears syndication in 75% of U.S. market

PPI Releasing has cleared the Just for Laughs Gags series in over 75% of the U.S. syndication market.

That should give the Canadian hidden camera gag series momentum going into a fall 2015 launch.

The series is cleared with stations from the Tribune, Titan, Hearst, Cox, Media General, Meredith, Granite, Weigel and Cordillera groups.

The show was sold for straight barter as a Monday-through-Friday strip, in weekend slots and as an addition to weekend or primetime sport shows.

Straight barter means the U.S. stations get a free program, but the syndicater will sell commercials in the program for itself, and taking all revenues.

Already airing in 135 countries, Just for Laughs Gags is in its 15th season, with over 300 half-hour episodes and more than 3,000 pranks produced.
