Distributor Blue Ant International is rolling out a slate of 4K nature and wildlife docuseries, including The Big Feed (pictured), Volcanos, Land of Gremlins and Arctic Secrets.
In addition to previously announced titles Lewa Diaries (6 x 60 minutes) and Toronto-based Digital Crossing Productions’ Nomads of the Serengeti (5 x 60 minutes), the roster of 4K original programming includes the tentatively titled The Big Feed (13 x 30 minutes), which examines the challenges of feeding animals at the zoo, as well as Volcanos (w/t; 4 x 60 minutes), on various volcanos around the world. The Big Feed is a Smithsonian Canada and Smithsonian USA coproduction produced by Blue Ant Media, while Volcanos is produced by Digital Crossing Productions.
Elsewhere, Blue Ant International is also launching Land of Gremlins (w/t; 3 x 60 minutes), on the creatures native to Madagascar, and Arctic Secrets (w/t; 5 x 60 minutes) which follows a journey to remote Arctic landscapes. Toronto’s White Pine Pictures is attached to produce Arctic Secrets, while Land of Gremlins is produced by Off The Fence, a prodco with offices in South Africa, Los Angeles and Europe.
The Toronto-based distributor’s catalog includes Paranormal Survivor, Cabin Truckers, Great Lakes Wild and Rebel Without a Kitchen.
