Distribution expert Tim Brown has been named the new president of Insight Film Releasing, the distribution arm of Vancouver’s Insight Film Studios, effective immediately.

Insight CEO Kirk Shaw says in a release that Brown’s new position is part of the company’s overall strategy to create ‘a true studio where everything from development to distribution is done in house.’

‘I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic organization and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead,’ added Brown.

Brown got his start in the business at Malofilm Distribution in 1993, and most recently worked as VP of worldwide sales for Keystone Distribution. He also directed his first feature film The Cradle, starring Lukas Haas, in 2006.
