Los Angeles-based Shoreline Entertainment has picked up the international sales rights (excluding Canada) to writer/director Jason Bourque’s Black Fly.
Shoreline Entertainment will introduce the thriller to international buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, which runs from Feb. 5 to Feb. 13.
Black Fly stars Matthew MacCaull (Tomorrowland, Vendetta), Dakota Daulby (Sitting on the Edge of Marlene) and Christie Burke (Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Strange Empire), and tells the story of two estranged brothers who are haunted by a troubled shared past.
Black Fly is produced by Ken Frith and Robyn Wiener. The film was produced with the participation of Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Telefund, and in association with Super Channel.
Melody Djavadi, Shoreline’s director of acquisitions, brokered the deal with Frith.
