The air outside is almost always frightful, but the Toronto Film Critics Association never lets a chilly night get in the way of a good time.
The annual gala took place Jan. 6 this year at The Carlu in Toronto, celebrating the association’s picks for the best films and performances of the year, as well as the recognition of young, emerging and established talent by way of special awards.
The big winner of the night was Denis Villeneuve, who took home the $100,000 prize for best Canadian film for Enemy, while up-and-coming talent such as Albert Shin (In Her Place) were also celebrated. Click on the thumbnails of the winners and guests below to see the photos enlarged.
