HBO Family picks up Ghost Trackers

CCI Entertainment has sold its spooky reality Ghost Trackers to HBO Family. The U.S. channel plans to roll the series out in January, but will give audiences a sneak peek this month among its Halloween-themed programming.

The kid-focused reality series features real teens investigating historically ‘haunted’ locales, using proprietary Ghost Trackers equipment to determine if any paranormal activity is afoot. (Ghost whispering, however, still seems best left to Jennifer Love Hewitt.)

The series debuted on YTV in 2005 and has been greenlit for a third season by that channel. Toronto-based CCI is currently looking to sign international deals for the series and is investigating formatting it for other markets. Additionally, the company has started to field interest from toy makers looking to license the property.
