Following in the footsteps of Martin Short, Canadian comedian Andrea Martin is stepping in to host the next Canadian Screen Awards.

Martin will host the awards as it moves into a new location, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto.

She last hosted Canadian TV’s biggest night in 1986 and 1987.

The 2015 Canadian Screen Awards gala awards ceremony will be held on March 1, 2015 and broadcast on the CBC.

It will be the third year for the combined Genie and Gemini awards.

Martin has a long list of credits in Canadian film and TV, most recently starring in Working the Engels on Global TV.
