The Canadian Awards for the Electronic and Animated Arts has announced that it will hand out hardware for the 2nd annual Elan Awards on Feb. 15.
The date was pushed back from November following a ‘daily growth of interest’ from around the world, according to the CAEAA, as the awards are this year introducing international categories. The Elans recognize both students and professionals in the video game and animation industries.
CAEAA says its extension of the qualifying year to Dec. 31 also enables the gaming industry to fully participate in the awards, allowing new games such as Halo 3, Guitar Hero III, and Super Mario Galaxy to qualify.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 21. The Elan Awards will be held in B.C. at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts. Producers can submit projects at www.theelans.com.
