The team behind ReelzChannel’s The Kennedys shot that miniseries along with Muse Entertainment in Toronto and are returning to shoot another event project in the city, Marilyn, from Asylum Entertainment.

The drama is to shoot at Cinespace Studios from Dec. 8 through Feb. 15, 2015, with Don Carmody and David Cormican producing and Joe Boccia line producing.

Marilyn will explore the iconic Hollywood actress’ complicated relationship with her mother, foster mother, mental illness and the Kennedys.

Laurie Collyer is to direct the mini-series based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s book The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.

Jonathan Koch, Steven Michaels, Stephen Kronish and Keri Selig will executive produce.
