Marina Cordoni Entertainment
Marina Cordoni Entertainment (MCE) will represent the distribution rights for Sergio Navaretta’s The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship. MCE will seek a U.S. distribution deal and foreign sales agent for the film at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM). The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship was written by Alessandra Piccione, who also serves as producer along with Mallary Davenport. Executive producers on the film are Enrico Colantoni and David Cubitt. The project was produced by Platinum Image Film, and received financial support from Telefilm Canada.
D Films
D Films will release CanCon thriller The Scarehouse across home entertainment platforms this January, following the film’s theatrical premiere this month. The film will be distributed in North America across VOD, EST, Blu-ray and DVD on January 13, 2015. D Films is also expanding the film’s limited theatrical release following a positive response to its premiere screening in Windsor, Ontario. The film is the feature directorial debut from Gavin Michael Booth.

Sago Sago
With almost five million downloads and counting for the Sago Mini apps, Toronto-based children’s toy developer Sago Sago is partnering with Toronto-based toymaker Monster Factory to introduce four plush dolls based off the popular preschool brand. The first line of dolls will include Harvey the dog, Jinja the cat, Robin the bird and Jack the rabbit. Available for pre-order online starting today and coming to specialty retailers throughout North America in late November, each plush will carry a suggested retail price of US$24.95.
