Incendo has lined up another female-driven Canadian pay TV movie shot in Montreal – this time First Response, with Dania Ramirez starring in the lead role.

Montreal filmmaker Philippe Gagnon will direct the telefilm for Bell Media after helming two earlier Incendo projects, Trigger Point and The Good Sister.

First Response, which also stars Kristopher Turner, will see Ramirez (Devious Maids, Premium Rush) play a veteran paramedic named Camilla who, along with her partner, are hijacked and forced by the gunman to tend to his brother’s life-threatening injury. Camilla must treat the patient at gunpoint at the back of their rig while her partner drives around the city to avoid the police.

Jean Bureau and Ian Whitehead will produce the film for Incendo, with Bureau also executive producing.
