BCE on Tuesday said its CFO, Siim Vanaselja, is to retire in spring 2015, to be replaced by Bell Aliant CFO Glen LeBlanc.
LeBlanc, currently CFO of the Halifax-based BCE affiliate, will become CFO of BCE and Bell Canada after Vanaselja departs after the phone giant’s annual shareholders meeting, set for April 30, 2015.
Coming from within the same group, Vanaselja, who became BCE CFO in 2001, and LeBlanc have worked together for over a decade.
As CFO of BCE, LeBlanc will relocate to the company’s Montreal headquarters, while maintaining an office at Bell Aliant in Halifax.
His promotion follows BCE’s privatization of Bell Aliant in July 2014.
Besides Bell Aliant, BCE’s assets include Bell Media and its CTV network and stable of specialty and pay TV channels.
