• Noah Cowan has been replaced as co-director of the Toronto International Film Festival by veteran film programmer and broadcaster Cameron Bailey. Cowan is now artistic director of Bell Lightbox, the festival’s future year-round home, stepping in for the departed Jim Hamilton.

• Kathryn Humphreys is back on the job at Citytv Toronto. One month after her sudden exit, the station’s new owners at Rogers Media announced that the popular sportscaster was again part of the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. news. She will also appear on Rogers Sportsnet, local radio station The Fan 590 and ‘other platforms such as online and wireless.’

The veteran sportscaster walked away from City after 10 years in November when, according to her ex-boss Stephen Hurlbut, she was unable to close a new contract with the Toronto station group. Days later, Hurlbut himself was gone.

• Maria Topalovich, former president and CEO of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, has joined the Actors’ Fund of Canada’s national board of directors.

• Tara Woodbury has joined the communications office at Women in Film and Television-Toronto. She takes over for Christine Amendola, who has left to work with the Canadian Cancer Society.

• Meg Majewski has joined the sales team of Toronto-based broadcast design shop Loopmedia. Majewski will focus on business development with the company’s new media division, Underground Lane. Majewski has previously won international short film prizes and has a London, ON.-based video production company.
