Terminator joins Idol on CTV schedule

CTV and its sister Space are sharing Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, which, following its two-night debut on the main network, will repeat on the sci-fi cable channel on Jan. 19.

The TV version of the Terminator franchise, starring Lena Headey (300), premiered in simulcast with Fox on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 9 p.m. on CTV, following The Amazing Race and leading in to Medium. The second ep airs Monday at 9 p.m., where the series will remain, while Space will run the first two eps on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9-11 p.m. (All times Eastern.)

In other programming news from CTV, Corner Gas moves to the Monday 8 p.m. timeslot, serving as a lead-in for the return of Two and a Half Men (picked up after it was dropped by Global) at 8:30 p.m. Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann moves to A-Channel, taking the Monday 8 p.m. slot.

CTV’s other returning shows include Degrassi: The Next Generation (Mondays at 7:30 p.m.) and the juggernaut American Idol, which kicks off its season both Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

In light of the ongoing writers strike, Global has begun issuing weekly outlines of new episodes on its primetime schedule. This week, the list includes: Prison Break (Monday at 8 p.m.), NCIS (Tuesday at 8 p.m.), Power of 10 (Wednesday at 8 p.m.), Friday Night Lights (Friday at 9 p.m.) and Las Vegas (Friday at 10 p.m.). A new episode of homegrown ‘da Kink in my Hair will run Sunday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.).
