CTV has appointed Alon Marcovici to VP of digital media, effective immediately, putting him in charge of the network’s overall digital strategy across all platforms.

Marcovici — who was central to the network’s recent coverage of the Winter Games in Vancouver — will continue as VP of the Olympic Broadcast Consortium, which is now looking ahead to the 2012 Summer Games in London.

Prior to joining the Consortium, Marcovici twice managed the on-site NBC Olympics Research Room at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
