Nightingale teams with Mohan

The Nightingale Company has picked up the rights to the comedy/drama series Bodies and Soul, in a deal that will see creator Peter Mohan (Blood Ties, Mutant X) write and exec produce with company chief Debbie Nightingale (The Weight, Chicks with Sticks).

The series, which Mohan likens to Moonlighting, follows a husband-and-wife team of private investigators ‘for whom the line between life and death has suddenly become very complicated.’

The deal comes as the Toronto production house sets sail for NATPE. The company is headed to Las Vegas with titles including the cooking show Urban Love/Grub, the family MOW A Christmas Tale and The Shimmyshakers, a kids music series that combines animation and live action.

Nightingale also has creative duo George Walker and Dani Romain (The Weight) developing a comedy series called Living in Your Car, with plans to shoot this summer.
