Hit-maker and Worldwide Biggies CEO Albie Hecht will sit down on Wednesday with film critic Ben Lyons to talk about the shifting landscape of kids media for the keynote address of the ninth annual KidScreen Summit in New York City.
Hecht — behind successes such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer — will discuss changes in the consumption of kids media, multiplatform maneuvering and how to spot talent.
The Q&A marks the first in a new series at the summit, which is put on by Brunico Communications, parent company of both Playback and KidScreen.
Other sessions taking place during the conference include Sesame Workshop CEO Gary Knell discussing his experiences heading up the Joint Task Force on Media and Childhood Obesity; and CBeebies controller Michael Carrington talking about the ins and outs of the channel’s recent makeover.
More than 1,300 attendees are expected to attend the conference, which runs until Friday.
