Elevation Pictures and Remstar Films at Cannes pacted to bring the latest film by The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius, The Search, to Canada for a release here.

Now Montreal-based Remstar has inked a services agreement with Elevation to distribute its titles in Quebec.

The agreement covers theatrical rights, VOD with specific providers and French-language TV rights exclusively in Quebec.

While both Canadian distributors will continue to act and operate separately on all platforms nationwide, the agreement applies in Quebec.

The distribution deal will start with Remstar releasing titles like Nightcrawler, directed by Dan Gilroy, and The Imitation Game, directed by Morten Tyldum, and starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley.
