The Toronto International Film Festival has announced the names of the filmmakers set to participate in the 2014 edition of Talent Lab Toronto and the Telefilm Canada Pitch This! competition.

The Talent Lab Toronto is a four-day intensive professional development program lead by four filmmaker “governors,” which this year will include Jim Stark (Coffee and Cigarettes), Claire Denis (Beau travail), Sandra Oh (Sideways) and Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes). The Talent Lab will run from Sept. 3 to Sept. 6, and is open to Canadian and international filmmakers.

This year’s Canadian Talent Lab participants are: Andrew Cividino, Benjaminm Schuetze, Elisia Mirabeli, Danilo Baracho, Deanne Foley, Dylan Reibling, Genevieve Dulude-De Celles, Kate Melville, Maxwell McCabe-Lokos and Remi St-Michel.

The international participants in the Talent Lab are Alireza Khatami (USA), Aneta Kopacz (Poland), Dea Kulumbegashvili (Georgia), Fabio Mollo (Italy), Joan Chemla (France), Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten (Sweden), Mattie Do (Loas), Siam (Mohamed) Mahmoud (Egypt), Tomasz Wasilewski (Poland) and Vera Solvadottir (Iceland).

The Telefilm Pitch This! finalists were also announced Wednesday. The competition will take place on Monday, Sept. 8, and will see six filmmaking teams pitch their projects in six minutes in front of a live audience of over 250 industry professionals. The winner will take home a $15,000 development award to support their project, which must be either a feature film or documentary.

This year’s Pitch This! filmmaking teams and projects are: A Tomb with a View from Hugh Gibson and Ryan Noth; Dog Beach, Florida from Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart; Lake 239 from Karen Harnisch and Sarah Goodman; Ten Thousand Happiness from Johnny Ma and Sarah Stallard; Trance from Jason DaSilva, Leigh DaSilva and Alice Cook; and X Quinientos from Yanick Letourneay and Juan Andres Arango.
