David Lambert’s All Yours, a Belgium-Canada coproduction, on Saturday earned Argentinian actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart the best actor prize at the 49th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The jury prize came for Pérez Biscayart’s role in Lambert’s second feature, which had its world premiere in official competition at the west Bohemia spa town festival.
All Yours portrays Lucas, played by Pérez Biscayart, as a penniless male escort from Buenos Aires who meets Henry (Jean-Michel Balthazar), a lonely Belgian baker looking for a companion online.
Lucas crosses the Atlantic to become Henry’s apprentice, but soon winds up feeling trapped, especially as a bakery salesgirl catches his fancy.
All Yours is produced by Daniel Morin for Boréal Films and Jean-Yves Roubin for Frakas Production.
The international sales of the film are handled by Filmoption International.
Karlovy Vary’s top Crystal Global grand prix trophy went to Corn Island, by Georgian director George Ovashvili.
