The Banff World Television Festival and nextMEDIA have tapped Malcolm Wall, CEO of the content wing at Virgin Media, as the ‘crossover’ keynote speaker of the sibling events.

Wall is ‘a dynamic and visionary industry leader who will provide great insight to our…Banff and nextMEDIA delegates,’ said executive director Jennifer Harkness in a release. He will speak on June 8, the end of nextMEDIA and the start of the Banff festival.

Wall joined Virgin in 2006 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of its content business. Prior to that he was COO at United Business Media where he managed the company’s business publishing, news distribution and market research businesses as well as being on the board of Channel Five.
