Canwest unveils May specialty series

Food Network will get into grilling as the weather turns warmer, while Discovery Health will take viewers into a New York plastic surgery clinic, according to the May schedules for some of Canwest’s cable channels.

Discovery Health is set to premiere three series in May. Snip & Tuck: New York, set at a plastic surgery clinic, arrives Thursdays at 10 p.m. starting May 15, followed by Bodywork: Australia, a transformation/makeover show to run Thursdays at 12 a.m. starting May 22.

The second season of Eataholics, which pits nutritionist Nathalie Savona and psychological coach Benjamin Fry against people’s eating habits and disorders, will follow on May 28 in the Wednesday 9 p.m. timeslot. (All times Eastern.)

On regular cable, The Food Network will premiere Road Grill, hosted by ex-CFL pro Matt Dunigan, on May 19 and will run it Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The channel will roll out the like-minded Boy Meets Grill on May 20. Each ep is an adventure to collect ingredients and inspiration at top spots in New York City, and will air Thursdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.. Also on Food, Rachel Ray hits France’s top wine stops and restaurants in Rachel’s Vacation: Bordeaux.

Slice has no new series on its May schedule yet, but will premiere the second season of Superstar Hair Challenge on May 6, followed by the third run of X-Weighted on May 7 and the second of The List on May 9.
