Decode Enterprises, the distribution wing of DHX Media, has found new homes for Halifax Film’s preschool CGI series Bo on the GO!, which currently has two seasons in the can.
Cartoon Network in India, Taiwan and the Philippines, together with Digiturk, Al-Jazeera Children’s Channel, M-Net in South Africa, Finland’s YLE and KidsTalkTalk in Korea have picked up both seasons, while Disney Channel Spain plans to try out season one.
In Canada, Bo is currently airing on pubcaster CBC, and France 5 recently picked up both seasons for the French market, where Decode has also signed a home-video distribution deal with Tactic Video and Disney.
The motion-capture and CG series promotes active lifestyles for preschoolers, and follows the adventures of inquisitive heroine Bo and her young friend Dezadore dragon.
‘These sales highlight that there is a real demand for kids programming that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle,’ said Decode director of sales Josh Scherba, in a statement.
