Serendipity Point Films
Toronto-based Serendipity Point Films, along with Distant Horizon and IM Global, have announced a number of sales of its upcoming Christopher Plummer-starring and Atom Egoyan-directed film Remember.
IM Global’s specialty label Acclaim completed deals with distributors in a number of countries throughout the world, including ARP in France, Wild Bunch in Spain and Italy, Golden Screen in Malaysia and Videovision in South Africa. The airline rights for the film were picked up by Entertainment in Motion, and HBO Asia took the Asian pay TV rights for Remember.
Remember is produced by Serendipity Point Films, in association with Distant Horizon, Telefilm Canada, Detalle Films and Egoli Tossell. Producers on the project are Robert and Ari Lantos, with Mark Musselman and Anant Singh executive producing.
Screen Media Films
New York-based Screen Media Films has picked up the U.S. rights to Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize It. The film will be released theatrically nation-wide on Sept. 5, along with a day-and-date VOD platform release.
Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize it was written and directed by Mike Clattenburg, and Mike O’Neill as co-writer. The film was produced by Trailer Park Boy Productions (Clattenburg, Barrie Dunn) and Topsail Productions (Michael Volpe).
9 Story Entertainment
Toronto-based 9 Story Entertainment sold the 18th and 19th seasons of its children’s series Arthur to CBBC in the U.K., ABC TV in Australia and Noga in Israel. More details on the deal can be found here.
