Former Entertainment One film sales exec Charlotte Mickie has moved over to Mongrel International.

Mickie will head up the newly minted international distribution arm of Mongrel Media as president, overseeing acquisition and sales of films worldwide.

She’s in Cannes looking for pre-sells on Mongrel International’s first acquisition, Aisling Walsh’s Maudie, which stars Sally Hawkins.

Mongrel Media will release Maudie in Canada.

Mickie was most recently EVP of eOne Films International, and before that completed executive stints at  Maximum Films and Alliance Atlantis Communications.

She is also a programmer for the Open Roof Festival in Toronto.
