Two Canadian films are among the selections for the 46th edition of the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight sidebar program.
The two Canadian selections to screen as part of the Directors’ Fortnight competition are the feature film Tu Dors Nicole from Stéphane Lafleur, and the short film Jutra from Maire-Josée Saint-Pierre .
The Directors’ Fortnight lineup for 2014 includes 19 feature films and 11 short films in total, and will run from May 15 to May 25. The sidebar is not part of the official Cannes competition, and does not usually give awards to films that are featured in the program.
In addition, the Canadian short film Petite Frere from Rémi St-Michel will premiere as part of Cannes’ International Critics’ Week program.
