Meridian Artists has expanded its Los Angeles office with the appointment of Conrad Sun to support the Canadian agency’s operations in the American market.
In his new role of associate, Sun will help manage Meridian’s client base in Los Angeles while also working closely with the Toronto office to help promote the development slates of Meridian’s Canadian clients in the U.S. market, Glenn Cockburn, president of Meridian Artists, told Playback Daily.
“In Conrad, we found someone who knew the U.S. market and how that machine worked, and at the same time understands Canada and the market our clients started their careers in,” Cockburn said.
Meridian Artists was founded in Canada by Cockburn in 2005. It expanded to LA four years ago with Cockburn as sole executive; Sun’s appointment expands the outpost to two.
Sun, who is Canadian, started his career in Calgary in 2004 after he founded the video production company Vigor Media. He later moved to Los Angeles to complete his master’s degree in the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California.
Before he joined Meridian, Sun worked in content development with a number of different companies, including Epix, Hasbro Studios, Gran Via Productions, New Wave Entertainment and Motion Theory Films.
