Nelvana Enterprises has inked a fresh slate of licensing deals for its teen/tween fashion property Ruby Gloom.
New licensees include Sony Music Entertainment, for a CD single in Japan, and Australia’s Designworks, which has designed a line of T-shirts that will retail in more than 240 youth apparel stores starting in July. The firm will also design Ruby Gloom bedding for Spotlight Stores throughout Oz, while Impact Rock has signed on to produce posters.
Palacio de Hierro, meanwhile, is launching an apparel line in Mexico in October. In Spain and Portugal, Sportandem will launch back-to-school merchandise and bags at the end of 2008.
Italy’s Dream Colours is rolling out apparel and accessories, ceramic mugs and plush for the fall, while Edibas will be looking after posters, stickers and calendars. And finally, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, The Cookie Company is working on an apparel and accessories line for a September retail debut.
