Paperny Films has hired Erin Haskett, formerly of Infinity Features, to lead its expansion into scripted programming, and on Thursday put her in charge of developing drama and comedy projects.
Her appointment, effective immediately, ‘launches Paperny’s foray into scripted entertainment, which we hope will develop into a fruitful branch of our award-winning company,’ said cofounder David Paperny in a statement.
The Vancouver shop is best known for reality shows and docs, including recent Leo winner Glutton for Punishment and The Week the Women Went, seen last season on CBC.
Haskett was director of development at Infinity, where she worked on recent projects including Charles Martin Smith’s The Stone of Destiny and the troubled The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. At previous jobs her name has been attached to titles including Terminal City and The Butterfly Effect 2.
