Veteran European sales exec Massimo Saidel is joining the Montreal World Film Festival as a film market advisor.

Saidel, who has 30 years experience as a film producer and distributor, has been named special adviser to the Montreal International Film Market for 2014.

And Saidel, who also works on behalf of the movie sales market at Marco Muller’s Rome Film Festival, will become an exclusive adviser to the Montreal market in 2015.

Saidel will report to Gilles Bériault, director of the Montreal International Film Market, for its 2014 session.

The 38th Montreal World Film Festival will be held from August 21 to Sept. 1, 2014.
