Entertainment One has expanded its access to UK content by inking a first-look deal with Impossible Pictures Factual, a a factual producer led by former Impossible Pictures exec Jonathan Drake.

Drake last year led a management buyout of Impossible Pictures’ factual division with Paul Wooding and Steve Maher, and has established a parent company, Three River Studios, to oversee the Impossible Pictures Factual shingle.

Three River will provide eOne with a pipeline of factual series and specials through the production subsidiary Impossible Pictures Factual.

eOne will handle the worldwide rights for all accepted projects as Impossible Pictures Factual works form the Canadian company’s UK office.

“It’s very exciting to see our relationship with Jonathan grow and be alongside him as he launches his new venture,” said Peter Emerson, president, eOne Television International, who relocated to London in 2012 to grow the company’s international TV division.
