MAC Cosmetics partners with the Canadian Screen Awards

MAC Cosmetics has signed on to be the exclusive colour cosmetics partner for the Canadian Screen Awards.

“We have broad and comprehensive support from the industry, which I think is due to the fantastic job the Academy and the CBC did last year on the awards re-brand,” Jennifer Stewart, director of marketing and development for the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, told Playback.

As part of a two-year agreement with the Academy, MAC will provide all of the makeup during Canadian Screen Week. MAC is also sponsoring the 2014 CSAs for the best achievement in makeup awards for film and television.

The Canadian Screen Awards have seen a 10% increase in sponsors for this year’s event over its inaugural year.

In addition to the recently announced MAC partnership, other big-name sponsors that have signed on for the 2014 edition of the Canadian Screen Awards include Bristow Global Media, The Postman, Fiorio, Dome Productions, Halfire/Core Entertainment and The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto.
