Showcase has unveiled its plans for fall, picking up new titles and several from its Canwest siblings.
Rockumentary series Cock’d Gunns, seen previously on IFC, will air Fridays at 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 5. The satirical 13-parter follows two brothers out to have the biggest band in the world, but who lack a work ethic, talent, fans and a record deal. Episodes will also be available online.
Debra Messing (Will & Grace) returns to the small screen in the miniseries The Starter Wife, which makes its Canadian debut on Oct. 22. Messing portrays the newly dumped wife of a movie studio exec.
Seasons three and four of My Name Is Earl will air Mondays at 10 p.m. beginning Sept. 8, followed by season five of The Office at 11 p.m. House returns Sept. 2, with its third and fourth seasons airing Tuesdays through Thursdays at 11 p.m., followed by seasons three and four of Numb3rs at 12 a.m.
