Rogers is expanding its weekend airings of Bollywood movies to three other OMNI stations in B.C., Alberta and Ontario.
The Bollywood Freetime Movie, already a hit with OMNI 1 viewers in southern Ontario, will on Sept. 21 expand to OMNI Alberta, OMNI BC and OMNI 2 in Toronto. OMNI BC is due to launch in September.
The movies will run at varying times on Sunday afternoons.
The movie block ‘presents a subtitled genre that reaches across language and culture,’ says Madeline Ziniak, national VP of Rogers Omni Television. ‘Ontario viewers, virtually from the outset, have demonstrated their loyalty for the series, and we anticipate viewership will jump significantly when we introduce Omni Bollywood Freetime Movie to an additional two million households.’
