Christina Wayne exits Cineflix Studios

Christina Wayne has completed her exit from Cineflix Studios by inking a pod deal with Endemol Studios.

The agreement with Endemol North America’s scripted studio operation in Los Angeles calls for Wayne’s Assembly Entertainment shingle to develop and produce scripted projects for cable and other TV distribution platforms.

Wayne will develop existing and new projects for Endemol Studios, including MDX, a medical disaster drama that will be produced with Flame Ventures and Tony Krantz.

“I have always admired Endemol Studios’ scripted business, from my first dealings when I developed Hell on Wheels with them at AMC and, more recently, at Cineflix as a competitor,” Wayne said in a statement Friday.

Wayne is CEO of Assembly Entertainment.

Miura Kite, who was EVP of scripted development at Cineflix Studios, will consult for Assembly Entertainment as Wayne looks to fill a VP of development vacancy.

While with Cineflix Studios, Wayne oversaw the company’s scripted programming, and executive produced Copper for BBC America.
