Lang gets Cream-ed

Cream Productions has tapped seasoned TV maker Gary Lang to oversee its creative department, where he is tasked with shaping the visual and editorial style of the company’s factual entertainment slate.

Lang will report to Cream founders Christopher Rowley and David Brady.

He has worked on such projects as James Cameron’s Last Mysteries of the Titanic, a special for Discovery Channel, which he co-directed. Lang’s recent writing credits include the hit Discovery series Mars Rising, and the History Television special 1917: The Missing, about forensic archeology of the First World War.

‘I’m looking forward to taking the creative direction of Cream’s signature innovative factual television projects to the next level,’ commented Lang in a release.

He has recently completed the expedition special The Crystal Cave, which will be broadcast in the coming weeks on National Geographic in the U.S. and Discovery Canada.

Meanwhile, Cream is currently in production on the special Great Sperm Race for Discovery, and is wrapping up the two-part series Dugout, an exploration of WWI underground battalion headquarters, for History.
