Montreal-based social TV analytics company Seevibes has acquired TvTweet, a social TV measurement company based in France.
Seevibes is also opening an office in France to develop its presence in Europe.
“The main goal for Seevibes is to help the media to better monetize the social network audience. To support this, we’ve created a standard of measurement that has already been proven in Canada among the biggest players in the industry,” said Seevibes president and CEO Laurent Maisonnave in a statement.
TvTweet was founded in Bourdeaux in 2011, and analyzes real-time data from Twitter and Facebook. The company has worked with French networks Orange, TF1 and NRJ12.
“With the acquisition of France’s TvTweet, Seevibes becomes a major player in Europe and the only one to offer a complete solution, both in real-time TV show analysis and in performance and audience profiling. This is a great entry point for addressing countries looking for monetization and ad targeting solutions for social TV,” said TvTweet founder Thomas Landspurg, who becomes Seevibes’ new director of technology.
