Veteran indie producer and story consultant Virginia Rankin has returned to the CTV fold as a senior production executive.

Rankin, whose recent TV credits at Shaftesbury Films included The Jane Show, ReGenesis and Eight Days to Live, joined CTV in April to shepherd production on Flashpoint. She was most recently a consultant for Capri Films and the Canadian Film Centre.

With Flashpoint recently renewed for a second season on CTV and CBS stateside, Rankin is to remain at the network as a production executive on a short-term contract.

Flashpoint remains Rankin’s main focus, but she will work on other scripted series in production and in development.

Before joining Shaftesbury, Rankin worked as a senior production executive at CTV, supervising production on around 40 hours of primetime drama.
