Montreal-based indie distributor Remstar Films has entered into a long-term home entertainment distribution agreement with Universal Studios Home Entertainment Canada.

Universal will exclusively distribute Remstar’s full portfolio of current and upcoming films in the physical home entertainment marketplace. Remstar will continue to handle theatrical, VOD and digital releases, as well as TV agreements.

The first title under the deal is the Steve Jobs biopic JOBS, starring Ashton Kutcher, which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 26, followed by the release of Joseph Gorden-Levitt’s Don Jon.

“Having a partnership with such a strong player as Universal for the home entertainment distribution will definitely befit our expansion in Canada,” said Remstar Films president Maxime Rémillard in a statement.
