Vancouver-based distributor Pacific Northwest Pictures has picked up Canadian rights to Violet & Daisy, written and directed by Geoffrey Fletcher.

PNP will release the film theatrically across Canada starting Oct. 18. Confirmed venues include Toronto’s Carlton theatre, Saskatoon’s The Roxy and Ottawa’s Mayfair Theater.

Violet & Daisy stars Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel and James Gandolfini. Ronan and Bledel play two pop-culture obsessed assassins who take on what they think will be a quick job, until an unexpected target (Gandolfini) throws a wrench into their plans.

The film is Precious screenwriter Fletcher’s directorial debut. Fletcher produced the film with John Penotti and Bonnie Timmerman.
