The Burning Question

Even those of us who watch TV for a living (Jealous? Don’t be) can’t keep up with all the new shows on the air this time of year. So instead of watching them ourselves, we outsourced the job to you, our readers, and asked:

‘What’s your favorite new show of the fall?’

I really enjoy Privileged on The CW. It’s a great intermediate between Gossip Girl and the new 90210. JoAnna Garcia’s performance is funny and charismatic!
Cindy Busby,
Actor, Heartland

Fringe. Anything from the creator of Alias and Lost has to be more than watchable… Science, spooky, mystery – all wrapped up in a well-shot, well-directed package.
David McIlvride,
Co-writer and co-director, Sledhead

I’ve turned into one of those people who claim to not watch TV. If I’m not editing my projects at night, I’m cruising around YouTube.
Colin Brunton,
Director, The Last Pogo

So You Think You Can Dance Canada. As a Canadian, I’m so proud of the talent that has appeared – and they’ve just started!
Trish Stratus,
Host, Stratusphere

A new show I’m excited about right now is The Cho Show. I’ve long been a fan of Margaret Cho, and I’ve been waiting since the finale of All American Girl for her return to TV. It’s a kind of reality show not unlike Kathy Griffin’s D List.
Trevor Boris,
Producer and juror, Video on Trial

My favorite ‘new’ TV show, going into its fifth season now, is the BBC’s Doctor Who. It’s not scary anymore, like when I was a kid.
Carlos Diaz,
Actor, Rent-A-Goalie

The best drama and reality this fall has to be the election process on both sides of the border. Until that’s resolved, I won’t be able to fall into a sofa and peruse the new shows.
