Lost Girl is bolstering its fourth season with a slew of recognizable guest stars, the latest of whom is Copper‘s Kyle Schmid.
Schmid, who also recently starred in Being Human, will have a multi-episode arc in the sci-fi drama about a succubus exploring the truth about her origins.
And Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), who had a guest role in the series’ third season as a ruthless assassin, will reprise that role in season four.
Schmid and Hamilton join previously announced guest stars George Takei (Star Trek), Mia Kirschner (Defiance) and Ali Liebert (Bomb Girls).
Prodigy and Shaw Media earlier this month announced that renowned music video director Julien Christian Lutz, also known as Director X is on board to direct episode 10 in the fourth season.
Lost Girl stars Anna Silk as the succubus heroine, along with Ksenia Solo, Kris Holden-Ried, Zoie Palmer, Rick Howland, Paul Amos and Emmanuelle Vaugier.
The series is developed and produced by Toronto-based Prodigy Pictures, in association with Shaw Media and Showcase. Jay Firestone and Emily Andras are exec producers, and Vanessa Piazza and Wendy Grean are producers.
Lost Girl has consistently ranked as a top specialty series through its three seasons. According to numbers from Shaw Media, it was Showcase’s top series in the A24-54 demo in its first season, and saw 5% audience growth across the 2+, A18-40 and M25-54 demos in its second season. Third season online traffic hit more than three million page views, and bolstering its digital efforts, Showcase.ca will this fall feature a six-part web series to bridge the third and fourth season stories leading up to the fourth season premiere.
Lost Girl is produced with support from the Canada Media Fund and tax credits.
The 13-episode fourth season is slated to premiere on Showcase on Nov. 10 in its new timeslot at 10 p.m.
