Lisa de Wilde to chair TIFF board

Long-time TIFF board member and vice chair Lisa de Wilde has been elected as the organization’s chair.

De Wilde, who is CEO at Ontario pubcaster TVO, joined TIFF in 1997 and is the first woman to serve as the organization’s chair of the board of directors.

At TIFF, she also was also previously chair of the finance committee, working with the organization through the construction of the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

David MacNaughton, chairman of strategic affairs consulting firm StrategyCorp, has also joined TIFF’s board. MacNaughton is a long-time political activist who has also served as principal secretary to the premiere.

The new appointments come as three board members, including former chair Paul Atkinson and directors Ian Bandeen and Mark Wellings, retire.
