Jetix Europe has inked a deal with Cake Distribution to broadcast the animated ‘reality’ sitcom Total Drama Island on its U.K. channel.

‘We believe that the exciting, spoof elimination format of Total Drama Island is going to prove a big hit with kids in the U.K.,’ said Jetix exec Boel Ferguson in a statement.

Created by Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis and produced by Fresh TV, Total Drama was recently brought back for a third season on Teletoon. Total Drama, the Musical will feature 15 characters competing and breaking into spontaneous musical numbers, and will premiere on Teletoon channels in 2010. It follows the second season, known as Total Drama Action, due in spring 2009, and Total Drama Island.
