The Harold Greenberg Fund decided to keep it short Friday as it said it handed out $120,000 in production and development financing to three short film projects.

The pay TV fund’s Shorts-to-Features Program, which aims to get directors of shorts on their way to possible features, gave $30,000 each to the teams behind Arranged, from writer/director Renuka Jeyapalan and producers Connie Contardi and Jocelyn Mercer and Gord’s Brother, from director Jeremy Lutter, producer Daniel Hogg and writer Ben Rollo.

Also receiving $30,000 is Mina.Minerva, from writer/director Marshall Axani and producer Diana Donaldson.

The goal is their shorts become possible calling cards for long-form feature projects.

To get them closer to that goal, the Harold Greenberg Fund is also giving all three shorts an additional $10,000 development commitment for any eventual feature projects.
